Le Marais: Fine Dining Meets Relaxed Marina Dinner
I recently had dinner at Le Marais, a delightful restaurant and bakery in the Marina that uses all local and high quality ingredients. I've had their delicious pastries for brunch on the weekend, but I had never tried their dinner, which I clearly was missing out on! I was sincerely blown away by the sophistication of flavors and experience as a whole.
Chef Max Snyder, a veteran of Eleven Madison Park (three Michelin Stars), Nomad (one Michelin Star), and Coi, prepared bistro fare at its finest and put together a really special tasting menu that hit all of the bases. Every dish highlighted natural, raw flavors accented with unique accoutrements. My favorite course was the grilled asparagus with sturgeon caviar and persimmon.
Not only was the food excellent, but the atmosphere struck a delightful balance between relaxed and upscale. In true French fashion, they recently begun having a band play on Thursday and Saturday nights, which I had the pleasure of listening to.
I can't thank Le Marais enough for having me. It was such a wonderful experience and I will be back soon!
